My favourite score recently was Arrival. Moving and creepy in all the right places. Love Johan Johansson and Max Richter. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rVN1B-tUpgs

Carter Takes a Train, from Get Cater, by Roy Budd.
Reminds me of the those knackered “Specials” BR used to give us to go up Norf.

If you like Morricone then do yourself a favour and check this out. Crap video but wonderfully reminiscent of your man, especially the end.

I love the intro for You Are My World by The Communards, then it descends into pure shit as soon as Summerville opens his disgusting falsetto trap.
Another Morricone fan here.
I also like the music in O Brother Where Art Thou.

Good thread this, got me listening to some top tunes.
Thousands I could choose from, but as song intros
Killswitch Engage- My Curse is a belter. Lovely melodic then full blown metal riff, but still with melodic overtones. Love that shit.
But the Lucifer of all intros is Black Sabbaths Black Sabbath. Tolling bell, thunder and rain, then Satan's riff from Hell kicks in. You can't anymore Heavy Metal then that! Suck Satan's Cock.
As for film scores, has to be John Barry and one of the Bond Movies. Also his score to Disney's 70s Sci Fi caper, ' The Black Hole' is tremendous.

"Anyone know who dis the score for Carpenters Assault on Precinct 13"
John Carpenter. He has written some pretty damn good ones too. Precinct 13, Halloween, The Fog, Escape from New York etc. etc.

This changes but at the moment my fave intro to a song is Satisfaction - The Rolling Stones. For original score West Side Story. (probably get a ton of grief for that on here). Loved the tracks chosen for Lock, Stock &,Two Smoking Barrels

Im going with Morricone too, Once Upon a Time in the West. Great film, great cast with Henry Fonda playing unusually for him an absolute horrible cunt and the beautiful Claudia Cardinale staring also staring Jason Robards and Charles Bronson. Anyone know who dis the score for Carpenters Assault on Precinct 13? Morricone?
